h o m e.

It's so good to be here, but my heart is still a little sad to have left. I never think that trips end once you make it home, though. There's much to be said for the post-trip processing phase, when you're still foggy with jet lag and absentmindedly responding to questions in another language and waking up unsure of what bed you spent the night in and forgetful that your phone can (and should) actually be used to communicate. You go through your journal and add stories that you might have missed. You cull and caption pictures. You look back at all your souvenirs and ticket stubs, planning distribution or display. No matter the trip, processing always entails joy tinged with a bit of reminiscent melancholy. Expect thoughts, once they are gathered.

I flew home yesterday with "To God be the Glory" stuck in my head, and I really can't think of any more appropriate way to look back on this trip other than giving God all of the glory for the great, great things He has done. Deepest thanks for the prayers and thoughts - they were well felt!
